East Yorkshire | £80,000 - £100,000 + Sweet Equity + Benefits | 5 Days On-Site
An opportunity to take your first step towards a Finance Director role, with sweet equity participation from day one. This role has a strong story behind it: a long-established Yorkshire manufacturing business, private equity backing, and genuine Finance Director succession potential.
We are partnering exclusively with a highly successful Yorkshire manufacturing business entering an exciting new chapter following private equity investment. With a strong track record of profitability, significant market presence and ambitious growth plans, the business is seeking a commercially minded finance leader to help shape its future.
This isn't a turnaround, it's an opportunity to join a well-run, profitable organisation and elevate the quality of commercial insight, financial reporting and business partnering across the business.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead the finance function, providing commercial challenge, actionable insight and strategic support to the senior leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
• Driving commercial analysis across pricing, margins and profitability
• Business partnering with operational and commercial leaders to support decision-making
• Managing cash flow, working capital and banking relationships
• Evaluating capital investment and growth opportunities
• Leading audit, governance, controls and compliance activities
• Developing and mentoring a small finance team
About You
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and an accomplished finance leader with strong commercial instincts. Experience gained within manufacturing, food production or another operationally intensive environment would be advantageous.
Most importantly, you'll be comfortable challenging stakeholders, simplifying complex commercial issues and translating financial information into meaningful business decisions. You will be equally comfortable discussing growth strategy with senior leaders as you are rolling up your sleeves and understanding the detail behind the numbers.
Why This Role?
Opportunities offering genuine FD succession and sweet equity participation at this level are rare. Alongside a competitive package, you will gain meaningful exposure to private equity ownership, influence strategic decision-making and be directly rewarded for the value you help create. You will join a business with real momentum, a leadership team committed to growth and the autonomy to help shape the next phase of its journey.
