FD Surveyor

We are recruiting an experienced Fire Door Surveyor with a strong carpentry background to support a large, long-term social housing programme across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. This role offers a consistent pipeline of work and is ideal for someone looking for stability on a compliance-focused contract.

Role Overview:

Survey fire doors to BM Trada standards

*

Carry out remedial works where required – adjustments, repairs and component replacements

*

Record inspections, actions and photos using Bolster

*

Work to ART repair guidance and social housing specifications

*

All works are third-party inspected, so high standards and strong references are essential

Carpentry experience is highly desirable, as you will be expected to both survey and deliver hands-on remedial work.

Requirements:

*

Proven experience in social housing (live/occupied environments is essential)

*

Fire door surveying experience (BM Trada, IFCC, FIRAS or equivalent)

*

Confident carrying out remedial/fire door repairs

*

Valid CSCS or relevant competency cards

*

Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites

*

Own van preferred for transporting materials

*

DBS check – can be arranged if required
