Female Healthcare Assistant

Newark Recruitment is currently recruiting Healthcare Assistants on behalf of a care provider supporting adults with a range of care and support needs.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work as part of the care team to provide high-quality care and support, promoting the dignity, independence, wellbeing and safety of the individuals in your care.

Key Responsibilities

* Providing person-centred care and support to residents

* Assisting with personal care, washing, dressing and personal hygiene

* Supporting residents with mobility and daily living activities

* Supporting with meals, hydration and nutrition

* Assisting with medication where required and in line with training and service procedures

* Supporting residents with social and recreational activities

* Encouraging independence and maintaining dignity at all times

* Supporting residents to attend appointments where required

* Communicating effectively with residents, colleagues and other professionals

* Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable environment

* Following individual care plans, risk assessments and relevant policies and procedures

* Reporting any changes in residents' health, behaviour or wellbeing to the appropriate senior staff

* Working effectively as part of a wider care team

Essential Requirements

* Previous experience in healthcare, care or support work is desirable

* Experience supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health or other complex needs is desirable

* Good communication and interpersonal skills

* A caring, patient and professional approach

* Ability to work flexibly according to service requirements

* Reliable and committed approach to work

* Willingness to learn and complete required training

Training and Development

Full training and relevant role-specific training will be provided to successful candidates. Candidates must be willing to complete all mandatory training and follow the required care and safeguarding procedures.

Additional Information

* Day and night shifts may be available depending on the service

* Previous care or support experience is desirable

* Full training will be provided

* Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
