About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Fencer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of fencing systems to a high standard while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Install a wide range of fencing, including timber, closeboard, panel, post and rail, security, chain-link, and metal fencing.
Carry out fencing repairs and replacements as required.
Read site plans and measurements to ensure accurate installation.
Prepare sites by setting out, digging post holes, and installing posts using appropriate materials and equipment.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and small plant safely and effectively.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.
Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
Maintain a clean and organised work area and company vehicles.
Communicate professionally with customers, site managers, and colleagues.
Essential Requirements
3–5 years' proven experience in fencing installation.
Experience installing a variety of domestic and commercial fencing systems.
Good understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites.
Ability to read drawings and follow specifications.
Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Full UK driving licence (preferred/required depending on the role).
CSCS Card (preferred).
Desirable Skills
Experience operating mini diggers or other small plant.
Trailer towing licence.
First Aid at Work qualification.
Experience with gates, access control systems, or security fencing.
