Role Description:
We are looking for a Trade & Catering Assistant to work within the Finance & Commercial Department on a summer contract basis. Assisting with the day-to-day process of sales, selling trade & catering rights across Boardmasters and Truck Festival.
This position is a great opportunity for someone looking for their first break in the industry, to develop their sales skills and knowledge of the world of festivals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for live music, be a natural negotiator and want a long-term career in Event Sales.
You’ll be responsible for working with the Event Sales Manager managing incoming applications and day-to-day admin, maintaining and nurturing relationships and working collaboratively to create new and drive existing revenue streams across our shows.
You’ll need to be able to travel to our office near Holborn 4 days a week, currently Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with Friday and Wednesdays alternating working remotely. In summer you’ll need to be available to work on site at our festivals which will include weekends and some late evenings.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with that management of the online booking system and application process, following up with telephone negotiations if needed.
Generating leads, managing incoming leads; telephone, email and face-to-face sales.
Managing and building existing contacts database.
Assisting with the advance of trade & catering pitches, across all events.
Working closely with the Finance team to ensure payments are received.
Managing trade and catering clients on site during live events.
Identifying and generating new revenue streams where possible.
Desirable Qualities & Experience:
Previous experience in sales (B2B or B2C)
Knowledge of skate or surf lifestyle brands
Interest and understanding of independent business
Ability to take instruction and deliver tasks successfully
Attention to detail, ability to multi-task across multiple projects whilst taking pride in your work
Awareness of time pressures/sense of urgency
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Confident around others; you’ll demonstrate potential to build strong relationships
Enthusiastic and hungry to learn
Organisation and prioritisation
Sound communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients
