Field Based Technical Support

The company are a leading manufacturer of products and solutions for the security/defence industry.

The business are seeking to recruit a field based technical representative for their operations.

The main responsibility for the role is to provide technical field support across the UK and occasionally abroad.

Responsibilities

As a technical representative, the duties are as follows;

• Conduct expert technical investigations and provide specialist advice and support.
• Assist in the assessment and repair of attrition, negligence, misuse and damage cases.
• Analyse root causes of equipment failures and malfunctions.
• Prepare clear, detailed damage reports for internal and authority use.
• Capture and report on lessons identified to inform continuous improvement.
• Collect and relay feedback from users and maintainers to support product development.
• Provide informed recommendations for post design services (PDS) enhancements.
• Support maintenance activities as required.

Key skills for this role are as follows;

• Experience of maintenance of protected mobility platforms gained as REME Class 1 vehicle mechanic or equivalent.
• Maintainer knowledge of platforms MASTIFF, RIDGBACK, WOLFHOUND, FOXHOUND, JACKEL, COYOTE.
• Appropriate City and Guilds certification as vehicle mechanic or equivalent.
• Full UK driving license.
• Microsoft Office conversant.
• Able and willing to travel throughout the UK and overseas when required.

The shift is a Days position (8am - 4.35pm Monday to Thursday & 8am - 3.10pm Friday)

Salary is up to £35k - £45k per annum.

The role is based in the Coventry area, so is commutable from Nuneaton, Bedworth, Kenilworth, Solihull, Birmingham, Solihull, Rugby, Hinckley.
