Job Description - Field Sales Representative - Engineering equipment
We are recruiting for a global Engineering services business who are recruiting for a Field Sales representative to cover the North of England.
The Area Sales Manager will manage the sales territory, seeking out and winning new business from existing and newly developed customers, ensuring continuous growth in bookings and profitability for the business in the areas of Equipment, Consumable and Service sales.
The Area Sales manager will take ownership of customers within the territory, build and maintain strong relationships throughout the customer's lifetime.
Deliver on sales booking targets Build and maintain a strong, healthy sales funnel Ensure full territory coverage through frequent customer interactions, including calls, visits, demonstrations, and events Maintain high levels of customer satisfactionSALES AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Initiate and manage lead creating and sales activities in the territory Identify and develop new business opportunities Promote and sell equipment, consumables, and services through effective presentations and demonstrations based on value selling Occasionally represent the company at Open houses, seminars and trade shows Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to drive growth Produce Sales quotations, covering letters and technical descriptions Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with customersCUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT AND SUPPORT
Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships Provide expert advice on metallographic analysis and testing solutions Deliver basic hands-on training and application support to customers on-site Proactively engage with customers, ensuring timely, solution-oriented support and high satisfaction Influence stakeholders at all levels, from senior management to technical teams Co-operate with Service to reinforce the existing relationship Maintain accurate sales forecasting and funnel management through disciplined use of CRM Continuously update and maintain visiting plan Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless demonstration, training, delivery and customer supportQualifications: Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Personality
Experienced technical sales professional with relevant background in Materials Science/Engineering and strong commercial acumen Proven track record of achieving sales targets within technical, analytical or metallography-related environments Customer-focused with excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills Account management experience Resilient, creative thinker, team worker Industry knowledgePlease apply for immediate consideration.
