Position: Field Service Engineer
Location: Southwest Midlands
Salary: Competitive, plus overtime
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Benefits: Company car with social use, 23 days holiday (increasing to 28), pension contributions up to 9%

Are you a highly skilled Field Service Engineer with experince working on measuring equipment? I am currently working with a globally recognized leader in the manufacturing of specialized measuring equipment. This is a permanent role based in the Southwest Midlands.

You will be responsible for the installation, calibration, servicing, and repair of high-precision metrology instruments at customer sites across the midlands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular customer site visits to install and maintain precision measuring equipment
• Perform service and calibration tasks with accuracy
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve faults on electro-mechanical systems
• Ensure all work complies with quality standards and customer requirements

Skills & Experience required:

• HNC/BTEC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, or substantial relevant industry experience
• Proven experience in fault-finding and repairing electro-mechanical systems
• Strong practical skills in mechanical fitting and installation
• Basic electrical knowledge, including circuit board replacement and use of testing equipment
• Excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail
• Proficient with IT applications relevant to the role
• Full, valid driving license (company vehicle provided)
