Field Service Engineer

 We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer based out of our of Elgin Depot.

*For all field roles – offshore work is required so individual must be trained or willing to be trained.

What you’ll do:

• Installation of power products on customer site

• Commission and decommissioning of power products on customer site

• Attend equipment breakdowns

• Service and maintain diesel driven generators to a high standard

Electrical

• Deliver generator applications - Motor starting and variable voltage

• Carry out load testing using sigma PC software

• Basic electrical fault finding < 1500v dc and <1000v ac

• Be able to operate fleet load bank

• Low voltage switching, maintenance, isolation, commissioning

The duties described above cover the focus of the role, however from time to time you may be required to carry out any other duties which are reasonable and within your abilities to support other areas of the business.

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

• Technical capability with a City and Guilds/ONC level 3 qualification or equivalent (Mechanical and or Electrical)

• Must hold a full, clean and valid driving licence

• Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications

• Experience of Generator controls, Deepsea, Dief or other control systems is preferable

• Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards

• Must be able to work out of hours as and when required, and be part of the on-call rota
