In this role, you will be responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of materials handling equipment and plant machinery, working directly with customers across the region. You will be part of a supportive team and report to the Service Coordinator. This is a field-based, customer-facing role, offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to develop your technical and professional skills within a close-knit, family-oriented business. Key Responsibilities Commission, service, and maintain materials handling and powered access equipment Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on plant and machinery Replace or repair faulty components as required Work closely with the Service Coordinator to manage and complete scheduled work Deliver a high standard of customer service while on-site Build and maintain strong customer relationships Ensure all work is completed in line with Health & Safety regulations Complete relevant documentation and adhere to company procedures Continuously develop your skills through training and hands-on experience About You Experience working as a Field Service Engineer or in a similar role Multi-skilled with a strong mechanical and electrical background Experience with materials handling equipment and/or powered access equipment Excellent communication skills Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities Ability to work independently and manage your own workload Able to work to deadlines and maintain high standards Committed to Health & Safety compliance What’s on Offer Competitive salary: £30,000 – £38,000 (depending on experience) Overtime opportunities Company van + fuel card (with option for personal use) 24 days holiday + bank holidays Company pension scheme Full training and ongoing personal development A supportive, team-focused working environment Why Join?
