Job Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Hertfordshire & neighbouring areas (Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Greater London)
Also recruiting across Kent, Bristol, Plymouth & Exeter, plus an Installation Engineer in Manchester

Salary: £36,000 basic + bonus structure, overtime & company benefits

About the Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the face of the business—delivering exceptional on-site maintenance, repairs, and technical support for industry-leading commercial laundry equipment. You will work closely with customers and distributor technicians to diagnose faults, carry out preventative servicing, and minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities

* Attend customer sites to carry out repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance

* Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults efficiently

* Achieve high first-time fix rates

* Maintain accurate service records and parts usage logs

* Ensure your van stock is well organised and maintained

* Provide remote technical support when required

* Contribute to continuous improvement, training materials, and product feedback

What We’re Looking For

* White Goods Experience (ideal): Domestic or commercial appliance background

* Electrical/Mechanical Skills: City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, or 2+ years’ field experience

* Technical Ability: Confident with schematics, diagnostics, and fault finding

* Gas Qualifications (desirable): Support available for Gas Safe if not held

* Strong Communication Skills and customer-focused approach

* Flexible to travel across the region

* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
