The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of high-precision industrial machinery supplying advanced engineering solutions to the aerospace and energy sectors.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of specialist machine tools across customer sites throughout the UK, with occasional overseas travel. You'll receive comprehensive product training and become part of a growing engineering team supporting cutting-edge manufacturing technology.

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out installation, commissioning, servicing and repair of specialist industrial machinery.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and electromechanical faults.
* Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to maximise machine performance.
* Conduct machine calibration and precision multi-axis alignments.
* Deliver operator and maintenance training at customer sites.
* Provide professional technical support and maintain excellent customer relationships.
* Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
* Ensure tools, test equipment and calibration equipment are maintained correctly.
* Work in accordance with customer health, safety and environmental procedures.
* Identify opportunities for service contracts, upgrades and spare parts where appropriate.
About You
We're looking for an engineer who has:
* Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Service Technician.
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
* Experience working on industrial machinery, CNC equipment, machine tools or similar capital equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
* Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
* Strong customer service and communication abilities.
* The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
* A full UK driving licence.
Experience with EDM, laser, CNC, automation or other precision manufacturing equipment would be highly advantageous, although full product training will be provided.
