Up to £50,000 + Overtime + Bonus (OTE up to £64,000)
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Service Engineer to join a growing business specialising in industrial machinery within the plastics sector. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys travelling, problem-solving, and working on a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment across customer sites throughout the UK and Europe.
The role involves regular travel, with assignments lasting up to four weeks at a time. In return, you'll receive comprehensive product training, excellent earning potential, and genuine career progression into a senior engineering position.
Key Responsibilities
Installation, commissioning and servicing of specialist machinery. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs. Diagnosing and fault-finding on mechanical, electrical and control systems. Working on: Chains, belts and bearings Pumps and valves Hydraulic presses and transformers PLCs and HMIs Providing technical support and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Completing service documentation and reports. Travelling extensively throughout the UK and Europe.
About You
We are open to applications from both experienced engineers and junior engineers looking to develop their career.
You will ideally have:
Experience within the plastics or FMCG manufacturing sector. A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), although time-served engineers will also be considered. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. A willingness to travel extensively, including European travel for up to four weeks at a time. Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
