The Opportunity
I'm recruiting on behalf of a growing medical device service provider that partners with leading manufacturers of ophthalmic and aesthetic laser equipment. Following continued expansion, they're looking to add a Field Service Engineer to support customers across the South and South East.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer already working within the laser sector, or someone from a related high-precision electronics or medical equipment background looking to move into a specialist and highly rewarding industry.
Working across the region, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing advanced laser systems installed within clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support on ophthalmic and aesthetic laser systems. Deliver a high level of customer service within hospitals, private eye clinics and premium aesthetic practices. Diagnose and resolve complex electronic faults while performing precise optical alignments where required. Attend comprehensive manufacturer training programmes, including potential overseas training opportunities, to become a certified product specialist.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience working on ophthalmic or aesthetic laser systems would be highly beneficial, although it is not essential.
Engineers from transferable sectors will also be considered, including medical devices, scientific instrumentation, lasers, electronics, laboratory equipment or other high-precision technical environments.
Requirements:
Service engineering experience within a relevant technical field. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Experience managing your own territory and workload. Professional and customer-focused approach. Full UK driving licence.
