Job Description - Field Service Engineer Mechanical Bias Lift Engineer

Field Maintenance Engineer (mechanical Bias)- Permanent - Hounslow- £40,000-£45,000

At our cutting-edge engineering firm, we specialise in providing top-tier inspection services to major airlines and manufacturers. From our Heathrow headquarters to strategically placed offices across key hubs in the UK, we deliver excellence in Lifting equipment inspection.

Opportunity:
We're on the lookout for a Field Maintenance Engineer (complete with a company van) to join our esteemed team at our Heathrow workshop. This role isn't confined to one space; it's about getting hands-on at various locations, including occasional travel to other UK airports. If you thrive on mechanical challenges and enjoy a dynamic work environment, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing inspections on Lifting equipment and tooling
Diagnosing and troubleshooting a spectrum of issues, spanning hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
Managing the collection and delivery of customer equipment across our network
Collaborating seamlessly within our tight-knit engineering team
Conducting equipment surveys to pinpoint faults and produce detailed reports
Providing support at different airports or UK sites as required
Effectively communicating with the Operations Team to ensure smooth job execution

What We Seek in You:

Qualified with recognised inspection body or engineering institution LEEA qualification a must in one or more of the following skill sets:

*LOLER/lifting equipment Inspections
*PSSR Inspections
*Overhead crane inspections
*Goods & PAX lift inspections
*Calibration experience - beneficial

Company van and tooling provided plus ongoing training.

Flexible working hours Mon-Fri occasional working away from home or weekends.

A can-do attitude and a proactive approach to tasks
Ideally, a formal engineering or related qualification
Demonstrated experience in a similar role is a plus
Outstanding customer service skills
The ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in IT, including MS Office applications
Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptable to all levels of interaction
