We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer / Equipment Engineer to join a leading global provider of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance within the aviation sector. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide range of airport equipment, supporting major UK airports while benefiting from industry-leading training and development opportunities.

Working between the workshop and customer sites, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding, and repairing Ground Support Equipment (GSE), ensuring equipment remains safe, compliant, and fully operational in demanding aviation environments.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on Ground Support Equipment.
Diagnose faults and undertake reactive repairs to minimise downtime.
Service, inspect, repair, and overhaul mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, brake, and drivetrain systems.
Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic assessments on a range of airport support equipment.
Ensure all equipment meets operational, safety, and compliance standards.
Remove unserviceable equipment from operation and return it to service only once repairs are completed.
Respond to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests when required.
Complete maintenance records and service documentation accurately.Candidate Requirements

Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Equipment Engineer, Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Plant Fitter, HGV Technician, Vehicle Technician, or similar.
Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
Experience working on plant machinery, vehicles, powered equipment, hydraulics, or heavy machinery.
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Aviation or Ground Support Equipment experience is advantageous but not essential.What's On Offer?
