Field Service Specialist

Location: Dorset with extensive UK and international travel
Salary: Dependent on experience plus travel allowances

The Opportunity

A growing engineering business is looking for a Field Service Engineers to join its team, working on specialist process equipment and industrial control systems across the UK and internationally.
This is a varied role combining hands-on engineering, commissioning, fault finding and customer interaction. Candidates with a background in electrical, mechanical or control systems engineering will be considered, with full training provided to develop your skills across the wider equipment and systems.

You'll take ownership of your work, manage site activities and build customer relationships while working on bespoke engineering solutions.

Willingness to travel extensively is essential. Expect to spend around 70 to 80% of your time away from home, including international travel, overnight stays and occasional short-notice trips.

Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, service and fault find specialist equipment and control systems.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical or controls related issues on customer sites.
Plan and manage site visits, coordinating parts, logistics and customer requirements.
Complete testing, service reports and project documentation.
Build customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional service work, upgrades and spares.
Maintain high safety standards when working independently at customer sites.What We're Looking For
A background in electrical, mechanical or control systems engineering.
Practical engineering experience in service, maintenance, installation or commissioning.
A willingness to learn and develop skills across multiple engineering disciplines.
Good problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.
The ability to work independently and take ownership of site activities.
A strong commitment to safety and quality.
A full UK driving licence and valid passport.
Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the UK and internationally is essential.Full training will be provided, so candidates do not need to be experienced across all three engineering disciplines.
