Finance Accountancy Officer - Conwy Council

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Education Finance Team at Conwy County Borough Council as a Finance Accountancy Officer.
In this key role, you will provide a comprehensive range of financial support services to Headteachers and Governing Bodies. The team delivers essential financial services, including budget setting, monitoring, and reporting, as part of a Service Level Agreement (SLA) to schools across the county.
* Location: Conway Road, Colwyn Bay, Conwy County Borough, (Hybrid - 3 days office-based)
* Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
* Pay: £14.36 per hour
* Contract: 3 months+
Key Responsibilities:
* Budget setting, monitoring, and reporting for schools
* Financial management support and advice to Headteachers and Governing Bodies
* Delivery of additional finance services in line with SLA agreements
About you:
* Strong financial and analytical skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good communication and interpersonal abilities
* Experience working in a finance environment (preferably within education or public sector finance)
