Finance / Accounts Manager

Butler Rose is delighted to be supporting a growing and forward-thinking business in their search for a Finance / Accounts Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and hands-on accounts professional to take ownership of the day-to-day financial operations and play a key role in the company's continued success.

The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working across all areas of the finance function. As the business continues to grow, this role will evolve, offering excellent scope for development and increased responsibility. WFH one day a week - free parking on site.

Key Responsibilities:
* Sales and Purchase Ledger Management: Oversee the full purchase and sales ledger processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payment processing, and accurate record-keeping.
* Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations across multiple accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
* VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
* Month-End Reporting: Assist in preparing accurate and timely month-end financial reports, including journals, accruals, and prepayments.
* Financial Support to the Director: Work closely with the company Director, providing insight into financial performance, supporting decision-making, and contributing to business planning.
* Process Improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline existing finance processes and improve reporting capabilities.

Candidate Profile:
* A strong background in transactional finance and accounting processes
* Confident working independently and taking ownership of the finance function
* Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
* Experience using accounting software and proficient in Excel
* QBE, AAT qualified or working towards a recognised accounting qualification would be advantageous
