Job Description - Finance Administrator

Macildowie are working with this client based in Desborough, Northamptonshire


Role: Finance Administrator
Salary: £24,000-£25,000 per annum
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours/week; early finish - 3?pm Fridays)
Working Arrangement: Up to 3 days remote, hybrid model

Overview:



A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a global business as a Finance Administrator based in Desborough. You'll play a key role in a collaborative finance team, taking ownership of transactional processing across multiple currencies including USD, AUD, EUR and more. This position offers strong development support including monthly 1:1s and structured annual appraisals to guide your personal training and long-term progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase ledger transactions: invoice entry, supplier reconciliations, query resolutions
  • Accurately process invoices across multiple international currencies
  • Import and process daily bank statements
  • Post journals in the ERP system as required
  • Deliver detailed monthly transaction reports for departments
  • Provide support to the Finance Team Leader and wider team
  • Assist with holiday/absence cover across the finance function
  • Support ad hoc finance tasks as required

Essential Attributes:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency (Pivot tables and Vlookups) is advantageous but not essential
