Job Description - Finance Administrator

Finance Administrator - Full Time
Location: Cookham (with on-site parking)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Annual Leave: 25 days + bank holidays
Job Type: Permanent

We are working with a well-established and growing organisation based in Cookham, who are looking to recruit a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Administrator to support their busy Head Office team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong finance or administrative background who is looking to join a friendly, professional, and supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a shared finance and enquiries inbox, including handling payment and billing queries
  • Entering and updating customer data, session changes, and invoices in systems such as QuickBooks
  • Monitoring bank accounts daily, allocating incoming payments, and processing refunds
  • Managing deposits, account setup, fee changes, and debt collection where required
  • Liaising with customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders via phone and email
  • Processing staff expenses, credit card journals, petty cash, and supplier invoices
  • Maintaining accurate digital records and filing financial documentation
  • Supporting colleagues and managers with system and account queries
  • Occasional travel to local sites and attendance at meetings or training sessions

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a finance or administration role
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software
  • Confident handling high volumes of data with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
