Finance Administrator, Accounting & Operations , Investment Management

The Role:

The Finance Administrator will be responsible for the administrational aspects of Investment Company AIM VCT in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.

The Finance Administrator will deal with any general shareholder and intermediary enquiries and information requests. Assist with the daily/weekly and monthly transactional postings and ensure they reconcile to the banks.

The Finance Administrator will assist with the processing and allocation of payments to suppliers and maintain creditors ledgers.

Assist with the preparation of the timely and accurate submissions of Net Asset Value Disclosures to the London Stock Exchange on a weekly basis. Assist with all aspects of administration in relation to VCT buyback including the monitoring of disclosures.

The Finance Administrator will process VCT applications in relation to Offers open and carry out all related administration pre- and post-allotment. Conduct anti-money laundering reviews and checks on VCT applicants, complete risk reviews and obtain additional information/documentation if required. Deal with any agency transfer requests. Assist with ad-hoc projects and analysis reports.

The Finance Administrator will update KPI information and assist with departmental MI. Maintain departmental filing system including data destruction. Carry out any other relevant duties within the remit of the role and as reasonably directed by management. Be proactive in developing knowledge of the industry and the market.

The Candidate

1-2 years Finance or Accounting experience – from an administrative level

Numerical aptitude

Relevant technical knowledge

Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook

Excellent knowledge of internal procedures and processes

Understand the Regulatory and Compliance requirements and processes relevant for your role and follow them and escalate areas of concern or issue in a timely manner

High level of accuracy/attention to detail – quality output
