Finance Analyst

Based in Portsmouth, this forward-thinking organisation is looking to recruit a finance analyst to join the team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting time to join the business, and the role will be a mix of project accounting and FP&A and allow you a great opportunity to learn and develop.

What will the Finance Analyst role involve?

• Lead on project accounting across the business including forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Establishing financial controls and procedures for all contract cycles and projects.
• Supporting the Programme Management Office with key project documents, including risk registers, milestone charts, and financial logs.
• Assisting with pricing and costing as well as contract-related financial modelling.
• Business partnering with key internal stakeholders presenting monthly updates.
• Performing ad-hoc financial planning and analysis to support decision-making.

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Analyst vacancy:

• ACA, ACCA and CIMA qualified.
• Previous experience in a defence business or associated company.
• Strong analytical skillset.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
• Previous experience in a project accounting role.
