Finance Analyst

NXTGEN are excited to be partnering with a high-growth, AIM-listed PLC as they look to recruit a commercially astute Finance Analyst to join their expanding acquisitions team. This is not your average Finance Analyst role-internally titled 'Acquisition Analyst', this position will see you working at the sharp end of the business's ambitious M&A agenda. With significant investment and a strong pipeline of activity, the successful Finance Analyst will play a critical role in driving strategic growth and influencing multi-million-pound decisions at board level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed financial, operational, and market analysis to support acquisition opportunities
• Build sophisticated forecasting models, perform sensitivity analysis, and develop valuation strategies
• Deliver commercially sound recommendations on pricing, deal structures, and key terms to senior stakeholders
• Prepare insightful reports, board presentations, and investment proposals to support strategic decision-making
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership and acquisition directors on deal execution and M&A strategy
• Monitor the performance of acquisitions post-deal, ensuring value creation and strategic alignment
• Maintain and enhance financial models, deal tracking data, and key performance metrics
• Liaise with cross-functional teams-Finance, Tax, Legal, and Operations-to ensure seamless transactions
• Champion continuous improvement, identifying risks and ensuring compliance with audit requirements

You'll be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with a strong analytical mindset and the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders. Previous experience within M&A, transaction services, corporate finance or commercial FP&A will be highly advantageous. Most importantly, you'll bring a proactive and commercially driven approach, with a desire to make a tangible impact in a growing PLC environment.
