Finance Analyst

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a manufacturing business. In this you will be responsible for performing financial analysis to support division decision making and financial planning. You will be part of the division’s finance team ensuring effective financial and internal controls are in place at division locations and assists with other projects or issues across the division as required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in improvement projects across the division as finance support
• Perform financial analysis to support decision making across the division
• Extract and analyse data providing information to support division financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Support Capital Project financial performance monitoring
• Support timely and accurate provision of information the reporting of all financial results including financial statements, midyear reviews, forecasts, budgeting and all cost and financial reporting.
• Support month end processes and ensure accounting practises are carried out in accordance with current US GAAP standards.
• Support safeguarding division assets and all internal controls including SOX are in place, that they are maintained and updated as necessary to meet company requirements and actively participate in internal audit processes
• Help with provision of required information for statutory reporting and taxation departments at head office.
• Provides timely and accurate data and analysis as required for management teams and Finance community.
• Part of team which ensures that all accounting data and reporting requirements for the division are completed in a timely and accurate manner to corporate deadlines. This includes budgeting, planning and forecasting processes as well as regular cadence calls.
• Supports the finance team and Division Controller in the successful completion of the Annual Budgeting process.

Requirements:

• Qualified to AAT level with willingness to study for CIMA
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Self motivated with the ability to work on own initiative either alone or as part of the team working to and achieving strict timescales
• Strong working knowledge MS Office (particularly Excel) is essential
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills which allow the job holder to influence and persuade at all levels within the organisation.
• Ability and willingness to continually expand and develop professional financial knowledge.
• Experience of a standard costing, project cost accounting or audit processes would be advantageous.
• Previous experience of working across borders in a multi-national organisation is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of US GAAP, SoX, IFRS etc.
