Your new company A growing and well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Finance Analyst to join its finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a highly visible role offering exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence key commercial and operational decisions. The organisation offers a collaborative culture, flexibility around working hours and a genuine opportunity to make an impact.
Your new role As Finance Analyst, you will combine management accounting, manufacturing costing and commercial analysis responsibilities within a fast-paced production environment. You will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, forecasts and budgets, alongside detailed variance analysis, stock accounting, WIP reporting and cost of sales reviews. Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain and Sales teams, you will manage product costing and routings within SAP, investigate manufacturing variances and support pricing and profitability decisions through detailed sales and margin analysis. You will also play a key role in continuous improvement initiatives, reporting enhancements and finance transformation projects across the business.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful, you will be an experienced accountant with previous management accounting/finance analyst/cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment. You will possess a strong understanding of product costing, routings, standard costing and variance analysis, alongside advanced Excel skills. Experience with SAP and exposure to commercial analysis, pricing, profitability reporting or finance business partnering would be advantageous. Strong communication skills, commercial awareness and the ability to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders are essential. What you'll get in return In return, you will receive a salary of £45,000 to £53,000, with flexibility available for the right candidate. You'll benefit from direct exposure to the CFO, the opportunity to influence decision-making across the business and the chance to develop your skills within a growing manufacturing organisation. The role is based five days per week on-site with flexible working hours available and early finishes on Fridays. What you need to do now
