Job Description - Finance & HR Administrator

Finance & HR Assistant

Based: Manchester centre - hybrid 2-3 days office

Salary: £30k - £38k dependent on experience + fantastic benefits including bonuses, private healthcare & more

Our client is an expanding, exciting services business going through a period of growth & change. They are market leaders in their industry with big plans over the next 2 years to continue their growth. Having placed the Financial Controller last year, you will have a fantastic mentor and the chance to work in a role that is key for the business

This position will be an all round role with 70-80% of time spent assisting finance and the rest of the time on HR admin duties. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, be a friendly face in the office and assist the team in helping to drive culture & business change over the next couple of years

Role:

Finance duties:

  • Assisting with inputting invoices, creating payment runs and overseeing invoice approvals
  • Managing credit control with suppliers
  • Managing employee expenses and credit card payments, reconciling and collating receipts
  • Setting up new customers on SAGE, issuing invoices and reconciling accounts
  • Bank reconciliations weekly
  • Supporting month end duties - posting accruals, prepayments and supporting FC with P&L cost analysis
  • Payroll - collating information internally, liaising with external provider to process and finally assigning to pay (40 staff)

HR duties:

  • Onboarding new employees issuing offers, contracts & working with IT to set up starters
  • Ensuring all HR documentation is managed including contracts, job specs and employee handbooks & policies
  • Ensuring holidays & sick days are logged collectly in the HR platform
  • Organising team & business social events
  • Helping to continuously drive positive business culture for the future

Experience:

  • Finance experience is essential, HR & Payroll experience highly desirable but you MUST be comfortable getting involved in everything
  • Time management & organisation skills essential - there will be lots of plates to spin!
  • Excellent communication skills - you will deal with the board, CFO & wider business daily
  • Systems / process improvement skills essential
  • Positive, can-do attitude able to get stuck in to anything!
