Job Description - Finance Assistant

The business
Nigel Wright is delighted to be supporting a fast growing business in Manchester in search of a Finance Assistant to support a growing finance team with day to day transactional duties.

Role
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong attention to detail and a passion for numbers, looking to grow within a supportive finance function.

Duties include:

Process purchase invoices and match with purchase orders
Prepare and process payment runs
Reconcile supplier statements
Assist with sales ledger and credit control duties
Bank reconciliations and posting of receipts and payments
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist with month-end tasks such as accruals and journal entries
Support with expense processing and staff reimbursements
Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers as needed

Person

Previous experience gained within a fast-paced finance function in a similar finance / accounts role
Studying towards an accountancy qualification - AAT level 2/3 or working towards
Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
Proficient Excel - pivot tables, VLOOKUP
Personable and professional
