Finance Assistant

DK Recruitment are working with a well-established regional business that operates nationally and internationally, and they're currently looking to add a Finance Assistant to their growing accounts team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build on their finance experience within a supportive and collaborative environment, with regular engagement from senior management.

The Role:

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls. The role offers great variety and will suit someone who enjoys a mix of transactional work, stakeholder interaction, and assisting with audit preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
Depending on your area of focus, responsibilities may include:

• Daily banking functions and reconciliations
• Processing payments and cheques
• Billing
• Handling internal ledger queries
• Supporting with audit preparation
• Supporting the monthly management accounts process
• Petty cash and credit card reconciliations
• Ad hoc financial reporting and analysis

What We’re Looking For:

• AAT Level 3/4, part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience
• Experience in a busy finance or accounts team
• Strong Excel skills
• Good attention to detail and analytical ability
• Excellent communication and a collaborative approach
• Experience with finance systems (Leap experience beneficial but not essential)
