Finance Assistant - Payroll & Credit Control Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant with expertise in payroll processing and credit control to join our clients finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong numerical skills and a proactive approach to financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process weekly & monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Manage credit control, including invoice generation, payment chasing, and account reconciliation.
• Assist with accounts receivable/payable, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Proven experience in payroll administration and credit control.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Part-qualified or studying toward AAT/ACCA/CIMA (desirable but not essential).
