As Finance Assistant, you’ll be trusted with important day-to-day responsibilities while gaining exposure to wider finance processes and improvements. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
Managing the sales ledger and monthly billing
Handling front-to-back credit control, including chasing and allocating cash
Supporting purchase ledger activities such as proposing payments, conducting supplier reconciliations, and liaising with clients
Assisting with payroll for over 40 employees and subcontractors
Supporting month-end activities and management accounts production
Conducting bank reconciliations
Implementing process improvements
What you will need:
Previous experience in a similar role, such as Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Assistant Management Accountant / Assistant Accountant / Payroll Clerk / Purchase Ledger Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk
Experience with purchase and sales ledgers
Intermediate Excel skills
AAT qualifications are advantageous but we value practical experience and a willingness to learn and grow within the role
Confidence to address issues and communicate with stakeholders
