Job Title: Finance Assistant
Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: Up to £29,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday

We are working with a successful and expanding organisation based in Nottinghamshire that is looking to strengthen its finance team with the addition of a Finance Assistant. The Role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key part in the day-to-day financial operations of the company. Responsibilities include:

• Posting and reconciling purchase invoices to purchase orders
• Reconciling supplier statements and preparing supplier payments
• Managing credit control and producing aged debtor reports
• Allocating receipts and payments; maintaining accurate daily cashbooks
• Performing regular bank reconciliations and BACS payment processing
• Assisting with VAT returns, audit preparation, and standard reporting
• Supporting quarterly and year-end financial reporting
• Handling accruals, prepayments, and intercompany transactions

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in a finance or accounts assistant role
• Confident working across both purchase and sales ledger
• Knowledge of bank reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Good Excel skills; SAP experience is an advantage
• AAT qualified or studying towards AAT is preferred
