Finance Assistant

Your new company is one of the UK's leading independent music publishers, known for its rich heritage and commitment to excellence. Based in Harlow, they are offering an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join their Finance team. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in finance while studying towards a professional qualification.Your new role will support the Finance Business Partner and work closely with teams across Sales, Royalties, and Operations.

Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with monthly management accounts
Supporting budgeting and forecasting
Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining the general ledger
Processing invoices, expenses, and payments
Assisting with VAT returns and statutory reporting
Supporting year-end audit processes
Contributing to financial analysis and process improvements
This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) with hybrid working-you'll work 1 day per week from home.

What you'll need to succeed
A strong interest in accounting and finance
A degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Business) or current AAT studies
Excellent attention to detail and numerical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning
