Client Details

Michael Page are recruiting for a brand- new role and looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our client's growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience across key finance functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash and Banking, and supporting the production of management accounts.

Description

Key responsibilities of a Finance Assistant will include:

• Processing supplier invoices and credit notes

• Managing payment runs and supplier queries and reconciling supplier statements

• Posting and reconciling daily bank transactions

• Performing monthly bank reconciliations

• Supporting month-end close procedures

• Preparing and posting journals (e.g. accruals, prepayments)

• Assisting with variance analysis and reporting

• Reconciling balance sheet accounts

Profile

A successful Finance Assistant should have:

• Previous experience in a similar finance role with a strong transactional background and some experience preparing management accounts

• Strong understanding of AP, AR processes

• Good Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables ect)

• Experience with accounting software

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Organised, proactive, and keen to develop within a finance team

• AAT qualified or currently studying CIMA/ ACCA
