Finance Assistant

This role will begin as a Finance Assistant position, where you will learn the ins and outs of the business and of financial processes. The role progresses directly into a more senior financial position within the company whereby you will meet clients and maintain your own client portfolio, ensuring all financial processes are running smoothly and being the first point of contact for any queries. This is an exciting and unique position that provides a clear and outlined path for progression within the company. You will have the opportunity to learn alongside accountants and receive study support to become a chartered accountant.

This role is based in Birmingham but offers a flexible hybrid working scheme. The ideal candidate will be self-organised and demonstrate a track record of self-managing work load. Due to this role being client facing it is also crucial to have strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanour, with good attention to detail to identify discrepancies and a solution oriented approach to resolve queries and issues raised.

What you will need:

• Strong interpersonal skills to excel at liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
• Have completed studies in Finance such as a relevant university degree/AAT or have obtained some experience of finance processes is advantageous.
• Confident with IT including using Excel.
• Be eager to learn and develop yourself professionally within finance, demonstrating a diligent work ethic and proactive approach in order to make the most out of the role's opportunities to learn and build your career in finance.
