Finance Assistant

Our client, a leading FMCG firm based in East Grinstead, has a new position for a Finance Assistant to join their Finance Team made up of 5 staff. This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home with the added bonus of only working until 12.45pm every Friday. Reporting to the Financial Controller duties will include: –

• Daily cash book duties, updating the group cash flow spreadsheet and posting cash movements to the accounts system.
• Purchase ledger clerical tasks as required, including posting and scanning purchase invoices, checking supplier statements and investigating discrepancies.
• Supplier payment runs (International payments, BACS runs and priority payments).
• Receiving and processing expense forms.
• Communicating with credit card holders to obtain all expense receipts for posting reconciliation and audit purposes.
• Monthly Rollover routines for three companies.
• Assisting with preparation of month end management accounts.
• Updating supplier and customer records.
• Carrying out monthly bank reconciliations across multi-currency accounts.
• Monthly reconciliation of Invoice Finance accounts.
• Assisting with the preparation of information packs for annual audits.
• Ad hoc duties

To be considered for this role candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience within a similar role as an Accounts/Finance Assistant.
