Job Description - Finance Assistant

Our client is offering an excellent opportunity to join their busy Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will assist the team with the day -to -day financial operations of the identified companies in the group and provide support to the wider team as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Finance Manager in the smooth operation and reconciliation of the Sales, Purchase and Nominal Ledgers for the identified companies within the Group.

Inputting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy.

Processing BACS payments, purchase orders and invoice authorisation.

Dealing with enquiries relating to purchases and suppliers.

Generating sales invoices and responding to queries of customers.

Responsible for the analysis and administrative tasks for the identified companies within the Group.

Processing monthly CIS and quarterly VAT returns

Support the Accounts Manager with any other ad hoc tasks/projects requested.

To support all other finance functions across the companies.

Work in line with all procedures and processes and support the audit and continuous improvement of the companies OHSQE integrated management system
