Finance Assistant

KCR Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a growing business in Sunderland for a Junior Finance Assistant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop a career in finance. You will be supported by an experienced finance team and gain hands-on exposure to day-to-day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations
Supporting payment runs and liaising with suppliers on queries
Maintaining the cashbook, including daily bank postings and reconciliations
Assisting with allocating incoming payments
Supporting month-end processes
Filing and maintaining financial records
General finance administration and ad hoc duties as required
About You
Keen interest in finance or accounting
Strong attention to detail and good level of numeracy
Good IT skills, particularly Excel (basic level acceptable)
Organised and able to manage workload effectively
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good communication skills
Desirable (but not essential):
Finance & Accounting degree (or similar) – preferred
AAT studying or keen to start
Previous office or admin experience
Some practical experience with invoicing processes (e.g. processing invoices, matching, or exposure during placement or part-time role)
Exposure to finance tasks (placement, internship, or part-time work)
