Job Description - Finance Assistant
This Manufacturing Group based just off the M65 near Blackburn. Their current turnover is sub 50 million and have plans to grow on a steep trajectory with strong financial backing from Private Equity. Their Financial Director is impressive, has a strong business transformation background yet operates with strong people values and harnesses a culture which allows people to flourish.
This job as a Finance Assistant will be responsible entirely for the accounts receivable administration working closely with production. You will follow a process within finance, from initial customer sale through to delivery, ensuring invoices are issued at appropriate times with payments received and allocated accordingly. As a business they don't offer customers credit, so at the initial sale, the deposit is agreed and your role will be to then issue to the pro-forma invoice for the deposit, and ensure payment has been received before the order moves into production. This same process is followed prior to delivery with the full invoice value.
This is a position that requires a good level of administrative skills, organisation, and attention to detail. The business works on SAGE 50 but relies heavily on excel, with shared spreadsheets and hence accuracy needs to be paramount.
