Finance Assistant, Bradford, Upto £30k

Hays are currently working with a reputable solicitors firm in Bradford City Centre to hire a Finance Assistant to their long-established Finance department. They are looking for someone with a strong transactional background and looking to develop a long and successful career in a business that invests in you. The role does require 5 days on site.

Your Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Assisting monthly management accounts including accruals, pre-payments & journals
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Maintenance of fixed assets & preparing depreciation schedules
• Quarterly VAT return
• Overhead / Variance analysis
• Sending month-end reports to partners
• Residual balances
• Bank recs
• Posting petty cash and reconciliation
• Input purchase ledgers to the system
• Ensure client transactions comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience working within an accounts function
• Ideally from a Practice, Legal, Professional Services background
• Advanced Excel skills
