Finance Assistant / Junior Accoutant

Role Description

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant / Junior Accountant to join our growing team and gain hands -on experience in a supportive environment. You’ll work closely with our Senior Accountants to support clients across a range of industries. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with bookkeeping, data entry, and bank reconciliations
  
• Preparing and filing VAT returns
  
• Helping prepare management and financial accounts
  
• Liaising with clients via phone and email
  
• General administrative support within the accounts team
  
• Assisting with the preparation and submission of MTD ITSA returns 
  

 What we’re looking for

• A keen interest in accountancy and finance
  
• Confident communication skills and a willingness to learn
  
• Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office. Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks/Xero/FreeAgent is desirable
  
•  Willingness to embrace technology and learn new systems
  
•  Organised and able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  
• GCSE’s/A -levels or equivalent (AAT study preferred but not essential)
