The Role:
Working alongside the Bid Manager, Finance and Sales teams you will be applying the estimating process for the bid and briefing the process to all bid team members responsible for cost estimation by using the budget tool and parameters agreed by the team.
In addition you will create and present the "model" estimate based on parameters provided by Bid Engineering and using current norms/rates. Where necessary, issuing cost input sheets in the required formats to those required to provide cost estimates. Expediting the delivery of estimates from discipline leads and using an estimate tracker to ensure transparent version control.
Continually reviewing estimating inputs for accuracy and validity and inputting completed estimates into Tender Template and Pricing Document.
This role is one where you need to show agility and work in an ever changing environment. Being able to apply Risk, Warranty, Margin, inflation and other adjustments to the estimate, as provided by Finance and the tender template and agreed by the team. In addition to interfacing with the bid Finance Manager to ensure that all rates, exchange rates and inflation rates are correctly applied in the tender template
