Our client, a highly respected business within the motorsport and automotive sector, is looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. Based near Chipping Warden in Oxfordshire, this is a brilliant opportunity to work within a modern, well-equipped facility as part of a close-knit and passionate team.
The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute finance professional with a strong background in reporting, analysis, and process improvement within a fast-moving SME environment. You’ll play a key role in shaping financial decisions across the business and will work closely with project managers, operational teams, and senior leadership to drive performance and profitability.
Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary • Develop insightful weekly and monthly reports and dashboards to support performance tracking • Analyse trends, KPIs, and variances to inform strategic decision-making • Partner with project teams to manage margins and job closures • Manage accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations • Oversee company VAT/Intrastat returns and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements • Maintain oversight of company bank accounts and credit card reconciliations • Oversee accounts payable processes, supplier statement reconciliation, and payment runs • Work closely with purchasing to optimise supplier terms and monitor spend • Recommend and implement process improvements to support reporting and efficiency • Act as a change champion within the business, supporting system and workflow enhancements
What We’re Looking For: • AAT qualified (ideally studying towards ACCA/CIMA) • Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or similar role • Excellent understanding of SME financial processes from end-to-end • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and confidence using Sage 200 • A proactive, organised, and solutions-focused mindset • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills • Automotive or motorsport industry experience is highly desirable
