Role Purpose:

To support the Financial Controller in managing costs and overheads. The role includes conducting budget holder reviews, enhancing internal systems and processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting with a clear understanding of accruals, prepayments, and tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and refinement of financial procedures to ensure accurate tracking of manufacturing costs, overheads, and depreciation.
• Collaborate closely with budget holders to prepare and review accruals, prepayments, and financial forecasts.
• Take full ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes for cost of sales, stock, and divisional expenses, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Provide insightful variance analysis and financial commentary to support decision-making across the business.
• Ensure timely and accurate data uploads into financial systems, maintaining consistency and integrity across all submissions.
• Monitor and manage working capital performance, producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies efficiently.
• Support capital investment planning by modelling depreciation impacts and ensuring compliance with internal policies and controls.
