Finance Business Partner

We are working with a well-established professional services firm to recruit a Finance Business Partner. This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to lead the financial relationship with a major client, acting as the strategic link between internal finance operations and key external stakeholders.
You will work closely with colleagues across the wider finance function, this is a visible, relationship-driven role with real influence.

The Opportunity:

As Finance Business Partner, you will:

• Act as the main point of contact for all financial matters related to a major client
• Own the financial relationship from initial client onboarding through to closure, including oversight of any inactive or legacy matters
• Coordinate with internal teams across billing, e-billing, credit control, and reporting to ensure an exceptional client experience
• Review and improve internal finance processes to enhance service delivery and commercial outcomes
• Design and implement bespoke reporting tailored to client requirements
• Support internal teams with training, issue resolution, and resource planning
• Lead ad-hoc client projects to improve financial communication and efficiency
• Champion collaboration between finance and client-facing teams, building strong relationships across the business

Key Requirements:

The successful candidate will bring:

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within a professional services environment
• A strong track record of managing external client relationships from a finance or commercial perspective
• A collaborative, commercial and confident approach, with the ability to challenge constructively and drive change
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the gravitas to engage senior stakeholders
• Strong systems understanding
• Sound understanding of financial operations including billing, collections, and reporting
• A proactive, detail-focused mindset with resilience and calm under pressure
