Finance Business Partner

Our household name client based in Guildford, Surrey, are looking for an experienced Accountant (Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA) to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This role is home based but you must be available to travel to the Guildford office approximately once a month for meetings.

You will report into the Financial Controller and assist in the production of timely and accurate management and financial information within a well-oiled team. This business thrives on its employee’s potential and contribution so we are looking for an individual with a positive and proactive nature that can hit the ground running and add value to day to day financial goals. You will provide tailored support to a pre-determined portfolio within the business and play a central role forming relationships between budget holders and the finance function.

Your duties as a business partner will include:

• Full month end management accounts production
• Preparation of budgeting and forecast
• Review of variances
• Financial modelling
• Pre month end
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Accruals and prepayments
• Cost and VAT reporting
• Balance sheet accounting

We are looking for attributes including:

• ACA/ACCA or CIMA Qualified
• Prior experience of transformation change and financial support
• Project management
• Business partnering and commercial finance
• Team supervision and management
• Ideally someone with a longer-term mindset for progression and growth
• A strong team player but able to work independently and prioritise a heavy workload
