Finance Business Partner

CMA Recruitment Group is working with a highly successful manufacturing group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, who have an opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to undertake responsibility for acting as the key contact between the Manufacturing and Operational Leadership teams and finance.

What will the Finance Business Partner role involve?

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner will include:

• Provide support to the operational teams to identify areas for improvement in direct labour productivity including management of non-productive hours and analysis of manufacturing efficiency at product level
• Review of inventory management and material flow implementing opportunities for optimising the flow of goods from the movement and storage of raw materials, WIP and finished goods to dispatch
• Support operational teams to analyse and understand key drivers of scrap and identify and implement plans to reduce the cost of poor quality
• Work closely with product development teams to fully understand costings
• Development and monitoring of recovery plans and introduction of controls where appropriate to ensure process adherence
• Support annual stock take and daily cycle counting activity

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Business Partner vacancy:

• The successful applicant for the Finance Business partner position will ideally hold a full accountancy qualification with extensive experience of working within a manufacturing environment
• Strong experience of working with ERP/Integrated Business Systems, will be essential to undertake the role successfully as will the ability to communicate effectively across all levels and disciplines within a business
