Finance Business Partner

We are working with a Local Council based in the West Midlands who have approached us to assist with the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner on 6 month interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a AAT/ACCA/CIMA candidate who has experience in a similar role to secure a long term contract.

Your Duties will involve the below:

To assist the Senior Finance Business Partner with the preparation of annual revenue estimates, the monitoring of income and expenditure and annual closedown of accounts for the Council.

To provide financial support to the allocated Head(s) of Service, responding to ad hoc and routine requests for assistance / information.

To provide support with the Council’s cashflow, banking and money market transactions , with regard to the Treasury Management policy of each Authority.

To provide support to the management of the Capital Programme budgets, including monitoring income and expenditure, co-ordination of capital bids, completion of government returns and annual closedown of accounts.

This role is to start ASAP and to be considered you must have experience in a similar role ideally within a Council or the wider public sector
