Premium Ventures is an exciting premium managed pubs business within the Greene King portfolio including:

• Metropolitan Pub company, our Premium urban food led brand, comprising 60 sites located mainly in Greater London
• Crafted Pubs is our premium dining led destination offer, with 7 sites located in rural and suburban settings.

This role would suit a newly qualified accountant or studying towards a professional accounting qualification, this will be based from our Burton or Bury St Edmunds on a hybrid basis

The Business Partner role will support the Premium Ventures Leadership team providing insight, analysis and challenge to support all food & drink product and pricing decisions to ensure we drive the profitability of the Business Unit forward. Leading the financial and commercial analysis of discount and promotions proposals, as well as supporting the wider Greene King pubs finance processes.

With this high degree of complexity comes a fast-paced environment with a wide range of responsibilities and opportunities for development.

This is an exciting role with the opportunity to help drive the performance of a Premium Venture business and being a key cog in decision making for the Business unit across the Commercial, Marketing and Finance functions

Your role as Finance Business Partner

• Understand menu performance, provide financial analysis to support menu proposals and pricing decisions
• Complete the financial and commercial evaluation of discount and promotions proposals
• Work closely with the Group Pricing and Insights teams to understand the market and gain a comprehensive understanding of Metropolitan Pubs performance vs market competitors
• Produce financial and commercial analysis to support Food and Drinks Leads with supplier cost negotiations
• Continually drive process, system and accounting improvement across the business
• Use data to identify and address development areas and growth opportunities within the business
• Assist the Finance team with the preparations of the annual budgets & forecasts
• Experience the business by being out in trade regularly to understand implications of decisions and opportunities. this will also require travel into London working from our London based office
• Provide support to the Head of Finance on ad-hoc analysis as required.
