Finance Controller

NXTGEN are pleased to be partnering with a successful, family-run business who have experienced significant growth over the past three years, to recruit a Finance Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Controller to join a business that combines strong family values with commercial ambition, and where you'll play a key role in overseeing a high-performing finance team.

As Finance Controller, you'll take the lead on all aspects of financial management, including the delivery of accurate management accounts and ownership of the audit process. You'll manage a team of five, providing guidance and support to ensure continued development and performance. With continued growth comes a real focus on driving process improvements, identifying efficiencies, and helping the business be smarter with spend and cost control.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and mentoring a finance team of five, promoting a high-performance culture
• Ownership of monthly management accounts and timely reporting to the senior leadership team
• Leading the year-end audit and being the main point of contact for external auditors
• Driving continuous improvements in finance processes and internal controls
• Analysing business spend to identify opportunities for cost savings and smarter financial decisions
• Supporting strategic projects and contributing to broader business planning

This position would suit a confident and commercially astute Finance Controller who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys improving systems and processes. Experience within an SME or family-owned business would be highly beneficial, as would strong leadership and communication skills.
